The term "System" in-game refers to multiple things:

• Solar System: Groupings of planets and their star. See the list of systems page.
• Subsystem: Subsystems are parts of your overall system on your starship. They comprise of Weapons, Engines, Auxiliary and Shields.
• System (abilities): The game also refers to systems as groups that Bridge Officer abilities belong too, such as "Deflector Dish", "Emitters" and "Sensors". These are also known as Starship operations by the skill tables.
